I had been told by friends and clients that running the London Marathon would be an amazing experience, and it proved to be so.
I felt great through the half way stage and was given a massive lift seeing my family at around mile 15, then all of a sudden with the temperature rising and my body aching I hit the wall at mile 20. However all the months of preparation and training paid off when I finished my first marathon in a time of 4 hours, 0 mins and 52 seconds.
Most importantly, thanks to the generosity of clients, friends and family, I raised approximately £3,500 for Hove YMCA . This money will be helping young people who are either homeless or from broken homes to get back into jobs and apprenticeships.
